| The exhaust on my car (HKS Sport NA, and yes, I do have a TT) was previously the QUIESTEST exhaust I have ever heard. The sound was easily as quiet, if not slightly quieter than stock. After having Seb bolt up a set of test pipes, I noticed a slight "throatiness" to the exhaust. The loudness was pretty much the same, just the additional throatiness. Well, I let Greg talk me into his LaBree X-pipe. The results were nothing less than astonishing. Now the car has a definite "burble" to it at idle, much like the B&B exhausts I've heard. The exhaust is unique though due to the HKS sport cans. At WOT, there is a marked increase in sound, but it is VERY pleasing. Not a hint of raspiness (even though I opted to get the non-resonated X-pipe) or harshness. SeedyRom heard the car and was also pretty surprised in the difference JUST the X-pipe made. I'll try to post sound clips with both the HKS H-pipe and the LaBree setup later tonight or tomorrow. Even if I do get clips up, trust me, they won't do it justice. I can say the same for the full LaBree setup (I took a ride in Seedy's car after lunch). The interesting thing is, Greg does not charge any more if you piece out the exhaust. This means if you have an old HKS or GReddy or whatever setup and you want to make a significant change, you can just purchase the X-pipe, then get the rear section later. This would be helpful for those of you with limited funds. All in all, I couldn't be happier with the sound and performance of my car. I drove the car with Seb after installing the test pipes, and I could tell a difference when I drove the car again after having the X-pipes bolted up. Greg says he's gonna post some definitive LaBree vs. B&B dyno charts soon, so look for that in the near future. As always, my thanks go to Greg & Seb for the great customer service and top-notch quality products. http://www.specialtyz.com
